While Lord Snooty and the boys are searching for the pantry key, a mouse terrifies the girls. Not having a cat, they set Angus the stag on the trail of the mouse, with a deerstalker on his head and a pipe in his mouth. Angus and Joe strike a deal with the mouse.

When Malcolm the Monkey goes missing from his cage, Richard, in a trenchcoat and sunglasses, and Oswald, with a deerstalker and magnifying glass, try to track him down. Oswald deduces that the butler did it.

Sniffy finds an old detective kit in a dustbin. He dons a deerstalker and, magnifying glass in hand, sets off to track down some bones. He is startled by an ant and follows his own footsteps, before he stops a butcher's shop burglary.

'Tec Tale: Teacher reads the Bash Street Kids a Sheerluck Soames story. They immediately start playing at detectives, but while Smiffy is on guard duty, a thief makes off with the school silver. The kids swiftly apprehend the felon.

Sheerluck Bones: 'Enry asks Sherlock Bones to solve the mystery of a marching band that seems to be playing up and down his bedroom wall every night. Bones and Dr Smiffy Whatson spend the night in his room to discover the source of the noise. Their next case comes from Tubby, who is being beaten to his snacks by the dreaded Black Hand Gang. They go on to help Pug win a beauty contest, and search for Squiffy the cat's identical twin brother, a case that takes them to the circus.

The Case of the Missing Skateboard: When Dennis the Menace loses his skateboard, Minnie the Minx decides to investigate. The investigation soon turns into a mission to stop Softy Walter from using the stolen Crown of Mezmo to bring everyone under his control.
