When Tim decides to set
up a lost and found office, Bill dons a deerstalker
and sets off to find lost objects. His retrieval of a
lost ladder ends in a chain of disasters, which are
all resolved when he solves the case of a missing roll
of linoleum. |

Tired of looking at the
same old face in the mirror, Swopper Stan decides to
swop identities, and dresses up as Sherlock Swopper.
He swops his pipe for a lollipop, and sets out to
catch some crooks whom he can swop for a reward. An
encounter with a ladder puts paid to his plans. |

Sam Twitt and his son
Cyril are deerstalker-wearing secret agents. The chief
assigns them the task of protecting Professor Klott
and his secret shrinking device from enemy agents. The
professor departs for a mad scientists convention, and
two enemy agents are delivered in a crate. The Twitts
pursue the agents, now disguised as a pillar box to
recover the device. |

In 1875, detective
Spooky Spokes and his arch-enemy Ponsonby Prendergast
are blown up by one of Prendergast's fiendish devices.
They return as ghosts, and in 1977 decide to help
private detective Arnold Twinge solve a gold robbery.
Twinge is captured by the robbers, but with their
ghostly powers and the contents of a baker's van,
Spokes and Prendergast capture the gang and free him. |
