Barratt Holmes is called out by Lord
Frumpington to investigate the theft of his stolen
jewels. His deduction that the thief was a three-headed,
long-armed individual with webbed feet does not impress
his lordship. |

|
His investigations into the madness of
the violinist, John Barbossa, lead Holmes to the Castle
of Baron Kruger, where he learns that the Prime
Minister's life is in danger. As the plot against the
Prime Minister is set in action during a fox hunt,
Holmes finds himself replacing the fox as the quarry.

Holmes is attempting to avert a plot
against the Prime Minister, William Gladstone, but is
refused entry to 10, Downing Street. After faking an
accident with Gladstone's carriage, he gains an audience
with the Prime Minister, who refuses to believe him
until Holmes plays the National Anthem on his violin.
